~ 3 Key Types of Servants ~

There are three distinct types of God’s servants.

Wooing & Winning (evangelist)  ~  “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30).

Watering & Watching (pastor)  ~  “Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account.  Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you” (Hebrews 13:17).

Witnessing & Warning (teacher)  ~  “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.  To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily” (Colossians 1:27-29).

Summary  ~  “He Himself [Jesus Christ] gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers” (Ephesians 4:11).
