Christ in Acts

~ Jesus Christ Is The One Sitting at the Right Hand of God ~

The Bible is about Jesus Christ  ~  “Jesus said to them, ‘How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!  Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter His glory?’  And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself” (Luke 24:25-27).

Jesus Christ In The Book of The Acts of the Apostles  ~  Jesus Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.  This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.  Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.  ‘For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:The Lord said to my Lord,Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.’”’  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ” (Acts 2:32-36).

There are other images of Jesus Christ in the Book of Acts such as the Prince of the kings of the earth, the Holy Spirit as the fire from heaven, the builder of the Church, and the ascended Lord (sitting on the right hand of the Father).

It is also worth noting that the Scriptures state:  “Indeed He says, ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth’” (Isaiah 49:6).  In the Book of Acts we see the fulfillment of this promise.

Comment  ~  We have only touched the surface of Christ in the book of Acts.  The Apostle Paul told us the Scriptures present many shadows of things to come but the reality is found in Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:17).

Compare the Following Passages:
Acts 2:34-35 with Psalm 109:1
Acts 4:11 with Psalm 117:22-23
Acts 7:32 with Exodus 3:6
Acts 28:26-27 with Isaiah 6:9-10
