Confidence, 13of13

~ God The Father Had Confidence In His Son Jesus Christ ~

Confidence is closely related to the Biblical concepts of trust, faith, and belief.  In this series we are looking at a few of the many Scriptures which show confidence displayed by Biblical characters.

Scripture  ~  “Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.  And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest ‘according to the order of Melchizedek,’ of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing” (Hebrews 5:8-11).

Closing Thought  ~  While this concludes our short series on confidence there are many additional instances of demonstrated confidence in the Scriptures.

Closing Questions  ~  Do you have confidence in God?  If not, why not?  Does God have confidence in you?  If not, what are you going to do about it?

Confidence, 12of13

~ Paul Had Confidence in Christ’s Resurrection ~

Confidence is closely related to the Biblical concepts of trust, faith, and belief.  In this series we are looking at a few of the many Scriptures which show confidence displayed by Biblical characters.

Scripture  ~  “This will be the third time I am coming to you.  ‘By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.’  I have told you before, and foretell as if I were present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare—since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you.  For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God.  For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you” (2 Corinthians 13:1-4).

Confidence, 11of13

~ Paul Had Confidence in God’s Ministry ~

Confidence is closely related to the Biblical concepts of trust, faith, and belief.  In this series we are looking at a few of the many Scriptures which show confidence displayed by Biblical characters.

Scripture  ~  “For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles.  Even though I am untrained in speech, yet I am not in knowledge.  But we have been thoroughly manifested among you in all things” (2 Corinthians 11:5-6).
