Fact Check, 37

~ True Christians Always Feel Close to God ~

People Think  ~  The normal pattern of Christians is solid and consistent—with a constant relationship with God.

God Answers  ~  “God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.  So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory” (Psalm 63:1-2).

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.  When shall I come and appear before God?  My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say to me, ‘Where is your God?’” (Psalm 42:1-3).

The Significance  ~  If a Christian falls into this belief they can become unstable during the times of doubts which come into every believer’s mind at times.  A consistent intimacy with God takes time to develop and even after being well established can be lost temporarily for periods of time.

Comment  ~  As Christians we fellowship with other Christians and also with all three members of the Trinity.  “You also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3b).  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship with the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14).
