Water In Scripture, 6of7

~ Water: In the New Creation ~

Introduction  ~  Water—whether physical or spiritual—is life-giving and life-sustaining.  In this series we are taking a brief look at water as a consistent theme throughout all of The Holy Bible.

Water in Heaven  ~  There will be life-giving and life-sustaining water in heaven.

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.  In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month.  The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (Revelation 22:1-3).

“And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’  And let him who thirsts come.  Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17).

Remember  ~  Water is not only essential for life, but it cleanses and purifies. The Word of God cleanses the individual Christian and the Church of God. “Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the Word, in order to present her to Himself as a radiant Church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless”(Ephesians 5:25-27).
