What’s So Good About “Good Friday”? ~
Scripture ~ “For He taught His
disciples and said to them, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of
men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third
day.” (Mark 9:31).
Comment ~ On Good Friday Christians celebrate
the day that Jesus died for our sins on the Cross. Have you ever tried to
imagine the agony and suffering Jesus went through? Have you ever contemplated
the extreme physical, mental, and emotional suffering He endured for your sins? At one point Jesus said from the cross, “It
is finished!”
Good? ~ When Jesus Christ cried out “It is
finished!” He was directly referring to the eternal salvation which is
available to you if you sincerely trust Him as your Savior.
