~ Great Truths About Jesus Christ From
John 1—Part A ~
The first
chapter of the Apostle John’s Gospel is full of information about who Jesus
Christ is. Consider the following:
Jesus Christ Is The Creator
~ “All
things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made” (John
1:3).
Jesus Christ Is The Sustainer Of All
Things ~ “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing
was made that was made” (John 1:3).
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation. For by Him all things were
created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for
Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:15-17).
Jesus Christ Is The Life
~ “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4).
Jesus Christ Is The Light
~ “In
Him was life, and the life was the light
of men. And the light shines in the
darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John
1:4-5).
Jesus Christ Is The Word of God ~ “In the beginning
was the Word [Jesus Christ], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the
beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing
was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines
in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John
1:1-5). “No
one has seen God at any time. The only
begotten Son, who is in the bosom of
the Father, He has declared Him” (John 1:18).
Jesus Christ Has Come In The Flesh
~ “In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”
(John 1:1). “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John
1:14).
Jesus Christ Is The Son of God
~ “And
the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
the key question: “Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15).
This is the most important question you
will ever answer. If you do not answer
it, or answer it incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can
make!
