Jesus Christ Was A Servant ~
Passages ~ “But
Jesus called them to Himself and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the
Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over
them. Yet it shall not be so among you;
but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you,
let him be your slave — just as the Son
of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a
ransom for many’” (Matthew 20:25-28).
“But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, ‘You
know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them,
and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever
desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall
be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be
served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many’” (Mark
10:42-45).
Significance ~ Jesus
came to show us the way. He is not only “the
way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) but also our supreme role model.
Comment ~ When our life on earth comes to an end our bank account, possessions, reputation, and fame will be of no value. The only thing that will count is what you did with Jesus Christ and the resulting impact for good our lives have had for eternity.
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?”
(Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do
not answer it, or answer it incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake
anyone can make!
