question:  How many windows were there in Noah’s ark?

answer:  One

“Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side” (Genesis 6:14-16a).

question:  What are the only kinds of nuts mentioned by name in the Bible?

answer:  Almonds and pistachios.

“And their father Israel said to them, ‘If it must be so, then do this: Take some of the best fruits of the land in your vessels and carry down a present for the man — a little balm and a little honey, spices and myrrh, pistachio nuts and almonds’” (Genesis 43:11-12).

“Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds” (Numbers 17:8-9).

question:  What was the weight of Absalom’s annual hair growth?

answer:  Over two pounds!

“Now in all Israel there was no one who was praised as much as Absalom for his good looks. From the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.  And when he cut the hair of his head — at the end of every year he cut it because it was heavy on him — when he cut it, he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels [more than 2 pounds] according to the king's standard” (2 Samuel 14:25-26).

“This Absalom! There wasn’t a man in all Israel talked about so much for his handsome good looks — and not a blemish on him from head to toe! When he cut his hair — he always cut it short in the spring because it had grown so heavy — the weight of the hair from his head was over two pounds!” (2 Samuel 14:25-27 msg).
