~ Some Benefits of Being
a Child of God ~
Eternal blessings we now have…
We Possess Eternal Life
~ “Whoever
believes in Him [Jesus Christ] should not perish but have [not “hope” or “might” but “have”] eternal life” (John 3:15).
Secured By An Eternal Covenant
~ “Now
may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great
Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do
His will, working in you what is
well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and
ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21).
Saved With An Eternal Salvation
~ “And
having been perfected, He [Jesus Christ] became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him” (Hebrews 5:9).
Liberated By An Eternal Redemption
~ “Not
with the blood of goats and calves, but with His [Jesus Christ’s] own blood He
entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption” (Hebrews 9:12).
We Have An Eternal House ~ “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is
destroyed, we have a building from God,
a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens” (2 Corinthians 5:1).
We Are Called To An Eternal Glory
~ “May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered
a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever
and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 5:10-11).
We Are Encouraged By Eternal Comfort
~ “Now
may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope
by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).
Eternal blessings to be fully
secured in the future…
We Are Kept For An Eternal
Inheritance ~ “For this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by
means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first
covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance” (Hebrews 9:15).
An Eternal Glory
~ “Our
light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more
exceeding and eternal weight of glory”
(2 Corinthians 4:17).
We Shall Dwell In An Eternal Home
~ Jesus said, “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by
unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may
receive you into an everlasting home”
(Luke 16:9).
Abundant Entrance Into An Eternal
Kingdom ~ “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your
call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for
so an entrance will be supplied to you
abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ” (2 Peter 1:10-11).
