question:  How many Bible characters never died? What are their names?

answer:  2: Enoch and Elijah

So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. ²⁴ And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. (Genesis 5:23–24)

Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” ¹⁰ So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” ¹¹ Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (2 Kings 2:9–11)

Note: Melchizedek is only mentioned in a few passages in the Bible, but his role is significant. Melchizedek was the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High (Genesis 14:18). He met Abraham and blessed him after he had rescued his nephew Lot from captivity. The book of Hebrews states that Melchizedek was “without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life” (Hebrews 7:3). This is interpreted to mean that he had no human lineage and was not subject to death.
