Father’s Day 2026

 

~ A Day of Gladness or Sadness! ~

 

For some dads this is a sad day.

 

Sad ~ Today is a painful day for many of you.  Maybe you’ve never had an earthly father in your life.  Maybe you lost your dad at an early age, or maybe he left your life early on.

 

Others have mourned their earthly father’s death: What you would give, if you could say “Hello Dad” as you once did. Or to hear his voice and see his smile, to sit with him and chat for a while!

 

If your father is still here, cherish him with care. Some future day you may know the heartache of seeing his empty chair.” 

 

God, your heavenly Father loves you so much.  And He wants to show you how valued and loved you are.  Receive His love today.  I’m praying for you.  You aren’t alone. 

 

For ALL Christian dads this is a glad day.

 

Glad ~ “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NIV).

 

“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:10b-11 NIV).
