Jesus Christ Was and Is A Ransom For All Who Will Accept Him ~
Passages ~ “And
when the ten heard it, they were greatly displeased with the two brothers. But Jesus called them to Himself and said, ‘You
know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great
exercise authority over them. Yet it
shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let
him be your servant. And whoever desires
to be first among you, let him be your slave — just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His
life a ransom for many’” (Matthew 20:24-28).
Comment
~ Are you one of the many? Have you bowed your head in faith to the only
One who can forgive your sins and put you in right standing before God the
Father? If not, why not? You can be totally forgiven of all your
sins.
Additional
Scripture ~ “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the
wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes
in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world
to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John
3:14-17).
Significance ~ You
can escape the coming judgment by looking unto Jesus and accepting the payment
He made for your sin—providing everlasting joy rather than everlasting torment.
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?”
(Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do
not answer it, or answer it incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake
anyone can make!
