Introduction  ~  This series is about questions involving Jesus.  Some were asked by individuals involved with Jesus Christ while He walked on earth.  Others are questions that Jesus Christ asked others.  We will look at questions on over 160 topics (some may split into two or more posts).  Even so, it is far from an exhaustive list. 

 

Scripture  ~  “Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words.  They came to him and said, ‘Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity.  You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.  Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?  Should we pay or shouldn’t we?’

 

“But Jesus knew their hypocrisy.  ‘Why are you trying to trap me?’ he asked. ‘Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.’  They brought the coin, and he asked them, ‘Whose portrait is this?  And whose inscription?’  ‘Caesar’s, they replied.

 

“Then Jesus said to them, ‘Give to Caesar what is Caesars and to God what is God’s.’  And they were amazed at Him” (Mark 12:13-17 niv).

~ God Is My Source Of Truth ~

 

Introduction  ~  Previously (July 16, 2017 – January 6, 2019) ALN posted a series of 82 posts of “Jesus is…,” and then we looked exclusively at who “God is…” from the Book of Psalms (February 9, 2020 – December 5, 2021).  We are now considering “God is…” statements from non-Psalms passages. 

 

Passage  ~  “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:6).

 

Other Passages  ~  “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free’” (John 8:31-32).

 

“But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus” (Ephesians 4:20).

 

“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).
