~ God Is Just ~
Introduction ~ This series of posts looks at some
of the many attributes of God.
Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Scripture ~ “For I proclaim the name of the Lord:
ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all
His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice;
righteous and upright is He” (Deuteronomy 32:3-4).
“Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘In truth I perceive that God
shows no partiality” (Acts 10:34).
“For the Lord is righteous, He loves justice; upright
men will see His face” (Psalm 11:7).
“God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of
love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the
saints, and do minister” (Hebrews 6:10).
Because of God’s
justice He cannot overlook our sin. However, in His mercy He has provided a way
of redemption and offers grace to us—because of the work of His Son Jesus
Christ.
