~ Walk As In
The Day ~
Series
Introduction ~ The New Testament has much to say about how a believer should
live their life. Christians should never
have to guess about the life that pleases God.
In this series we look at a variety of passages that speak about the
Christian walk on earth.
Scripture ~ “The night
is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of
darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in
the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in
strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for
the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (Romans 13:12-14).
“Do
not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk
with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and
making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another
in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:17-21).
Quote ~ “To walk with someone means you are aware of their
presence. And this is true with God. If you’re to walk with Him, you must be
continually aware of His presence.” —Kay Smith (Pleasing God)
