~ God Is Light ~
Introduction ~ This series of posts looks at some
of the many attributes of God.
Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Scripture ~ “This is the message which we have heard
from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at
all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we
lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the
light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His
Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:5-7).
“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to
awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first
believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast
off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us
walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness
and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no
provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (Romans 13:11-14).
