~ Walk Away When Appropriate, 6 ~
Series
Introduction ~ The New Testament has much to say about how a believer should
live their life. Christians should never
have to guess about the life that pleases God.
In this series we look at a variety of passages that speak about the
Christian walk on earth.
Sub-Series ~ Not only
are we to walk properly but there are times when we should walk away from a
situation.
Scripture ~ “Then Jesus
said to them, ‘What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls
into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much
more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the
Sabbath.’ Then He said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’ And he
stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees
went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him. But when Jesus
knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, [BR1] and He healed
them all” (Matthew 12:11-15).
Quote ~ “To walk with someone means you are aware of their
presence. And this is true with God. If you’re to walk with Him, you must be
continually aware of His presence.” —Kay Smith (Pleasing God)
