~ Assembling Together With Him ~
“Unto Him shall the
gathering [for obedience] of the people be” (Genesis
49:10).
For Salvation
~ “Then
all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near unto Him to hear Him” … [Jesus said] ‘I say to you that likewise
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over
ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance’” (Luke 15:1,7).
For Teaching
~ “Then
the apostles gathered unto Jesus and
told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. … But
the multitudes saw them departing,
and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to
Him. And
Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion
for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things” (Mark 6:30, 33-34).
For Worship [Thanksgiving]
~ “Therefore
by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the
fruit of our lips, giving thanks unto His
name” (Hebrews 13:15).
For Fellowship
~ “For
where two or three are gathered together unto
My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).
For Glory
~ “Now,
brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering
together unto Him…” (2
Thessalonians 2:1).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
