~ His People Are For Him ~
Reconciled Unto Himself (by the Cross) ~ “For it pleased the
Father that in Him should all fullness dwell; and,
having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him,
I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven” (Colossians 1:19-20).
Set Apart For Himself (by the Spirit) ~ “Gather My saints
together unto Me; those that have
made a covenant with Me by sacrifice” (Psalm 50:5).
Purified Unto Himself (by the Truth) ~ “Who gave Himself
for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:14).
Subdued Unto Himself (by His power) ~ “For our manner of
life is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus
Christ: who shall change our vile body, that
it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working
whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself” (Philippians 3:20-21).
Presented To Himself (in the glory) ~ “Husbands, love
your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that
He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that
He might present her unto Himself a
glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she
should be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians
5:25-27).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
