~ Which of These Biblical Cups Do
You Possess? ~
Sinner’s Cup
~ “The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked
and the one who loves violence His soul hates. Upon the wicked He will rain
coals; fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup”
(Psalm 11:5-6). This is the Cup of
Judgment!
Savior’s Cup
~ “Then
He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it,
all of you. For this is My blood of the new
covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to
you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when
I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom’” (Matthew 26:27-29). This is
the Cup of Suffering!
Gospel Cup
~ “What
shall I render to the Lord for all
His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the
name of the Lord. I will pay my
vows to the Lord now in the
presence of all His people” (Psalm 116:12-12). This is the Cup of Salvation!
Believer’s Cup
~ “You
prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head
with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life; and I will dwell in
the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm
23:5-6). This is the Cup of Blessing!
The Christ Rejecter’s Cup
~ “Then
a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the
beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he
himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire
and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the
Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no
rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives
the mark of his name’” (Revelation 14:9-11). This is the Cup of Wrath!
