Introduction ~ Everything
you and I have has been given to us by God.
This includes your life including every breath you breathe. Every human receives a great many of these universal
gifts from God.
Those
who know God as their Father also receive many additional gifts with the most
important being forgiveness of sins, eternal salvation, and a personal
relationship with God Himself.
Scripture ~ “By
grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is
the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
“So
then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives
the increase. Now he who plants and
he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to
his own labor” (1 Corinthians 3:7-8).
Jesus
said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to
give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face
shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon
you, and give you peace” (Number 6:11).
Comment ~ Isn’t it peace that everybody is searching
for? “God will keep him in perfect
peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).
