10 Essential Facts, 8of10

~ Jesus Has Returned To Heaven ~

Introduction ~ The most important fundamentals of Christianity include beliefs about the birth of Jesus, His sinless life, His death, His burial, and His resurrection.

In this series we look at ten facts about Jesus Christ.

Scripture ~ “Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, ‘Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?’  And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’

“Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He [Jesus] was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?  This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven’” (Acts 1:6-11, also see Mark 16:19-20 and Luke 24:50-53).

“It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us” (Romans 8:34b-35).

Note ~ Jesus Christ is right now pleading on your behalf to the Father.

~ God Promises a Way Out of Temptation ~

This Series ~ God has made many promises to His people. This series of posts looks at some (100+) of the many promises of God.  It is not an exhaustive list.

Key Factor ~ God not only makes promises to His people but He also keeps all of His promises.

Scripture ~ “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Benefits For God’s People, 32

~ God Fills The Earth ~

Series Information ~ The Bible is full of promises to those who have trusted in God as their only true source of salvation.  Most of the 100+ posts in this series are exclusively for God’s family.  These postings are far from an exhaustive list!  It is important to realize you are not a member of God’s family unless you have made a specific intentional decision to trust Jesus Christ as your savior.  If you have not done that or are not sure if you have then I suggest you settle it today. Here is a good website which will help you: https://www.focusonthefamily.com/faith/what-must-i-do-to-be-saved/

Series Theme Scripture ~ For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ].  For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians1:20 amp).

This Post Scripture ~ The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy; teach me Your statutes” (Psalm 119:64).

Bible Answer, 134

~ Did You Get It Right? ~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~ bible answer ~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
question:  What was the weight of Absalom’s annual hair growth?
answer:  Over two pounds!
“Now in all Israel there was no one who was praised as much as Absalom for his good looks. From the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.  And when he cut the hair of his head — at the end of every year he cut it because it was heavy on him — when he cut it, he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels [more than 2 pounds] according to the king's standard” (2 Samuel 14:25-26).
“This Absalom! There wasn’t a man in all Israel talked about so much for his handsome good looks — and not a blemish on him from head to toe! When he cut his hair — he always cut it short in the spring because it had grown so heavy — the weight of the hair from his head was over two pounds!” (2 Samuel 14:25-27 msg).
God Attribute, 182
~ God Rewards ~
This Series ~ This series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God.  Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Scripture ~ “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24 ESV).
And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities’” (Luke 19:17 ESV).
“His master said to him, ‘’Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master’” (Matthew 25:23 ESV).
“But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you” (Matthew 6:17-18 ESV).
“Behold, I (Jesus) am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to the merit of his deeds (earthly works, faithfulness)” (Revelation 22:12 AMP).
“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and then He will repay each one in accordance with what he has done” (Matthew 16:27 AMP).
Examples & Imitators
~ Are You Not Only a Follower But An Example and Imitator? ~
~ Individuals ~
Followers of Us and the Lord  ~  “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.  For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.  And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-6).
The Gospel Believed  ~  And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.  For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place.  Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.  For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:6-10).
~ Churches ~
Followers of Churches of God  ~  “But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.  For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness — God is witness.  Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ.  But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children.  So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.  For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.  You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory” (1 Thessalonians 2:4-12).
The Word Received  ~  “For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.  For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 2:13-14a).
