~ God Is Consistent ~

 

Series Information ~ The Bible is full of promises to those who have trusted in God as their only true source of salvation.  Most of the 100+ posts in this series are exclusively for God’s family.  These postings are far from an exhaustive list!  It is important to realize you are not a member of God’s family unless you have made a specific intentional decision to trust Jesus Christ as your savior.  If you have not done that or are not sure if you have then I suggest you settle it today. answer:  One

 

“Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side” (Genesis 6:14-16a).

 

“Build yourself a ship from teakwood. Make rooms in it. Coat it with pitch inside and out. Make it 450 feet long, seventy-five feet wide, and forty-five feet high. ~ Sacrificial ~

 

Series Introduction ~ As you consider each of the characteristics of a person of God it would be wise to examine yourself to see how you measure up.

 

Scripture ~ Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down ones life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. Jesus Was Rejected, 6

 

~ Mocked, 4 ~

 

This Series ~ Jesus Christ came to earth to save sinners. He lived a sinless life. He was a truly righteous man. But He was rejected by mankind. He died a cruel, painful death as a penalty for our sins. Those who now accept Him and trust Him for eternal salvation will live forever with Him without any more pains or sadness.

 

Scripture ~ “Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other” (Luke 23:9-12).
