3 “G”s of Ministry ~
Prolog ~ “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one
another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1
Peter 4:10).
In this post we look at: THE
IMPORTANT 3 Gs INVOLVED IN SERVICE.
Gift
From God ~ “But to each one of us grace was given
according to the measure of Christ's gift.
Therefore He says: ‘When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive,
and gave gifts to men’” (Ephesians
4:7-8).
“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and
watchful in your prayers. And above all
things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of
sins.’ Be hospitable to one another
without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as
good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the
ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through
Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:7-11).
Grace
To Use For God
~ “But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure
of Christ's gift. Therefore He says: ‘When
He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men’” (Ephesians
4:7-8).
“For I say, through the
grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of
himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has
dealt to each one a measure of faith. For
as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same
function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members
of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace
that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in
proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who
teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with
liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with
cheerfulness” (Romans 12:3-8).
Godliness
To Command For God
~ “If you instruct the brethren
in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the
words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and
exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but
godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is
and of that which is to come” (1 Timothy 4:6-8).
