~ God Manifest In Christ ~
God Was Manifested in the Flesh (God’s presence) ~ “Without controversy
great is the mystery of godliness: God was
manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached
among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory” (1 Timothy 3:16). “What the law could not
do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the
likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans
8:3).
The Word of Life (God heard) ~ “That which was from the
beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have
looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—the life
was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that
eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—that which we
have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with
us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
And these things we write to you that your
joy may be full” (1 John 1:1-4). “In the beginning was the Word [Jesus Christ], and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things
were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him
was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness did not comprehend it”
(John 1:1-5).
The Light of Life (God seen) ~ “Then Jesus spoke to them
again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk
in darkness, but have the light of life’” (John 8:12). “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon
those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned’” (Matthew
4:16).
The Fullness of Life (God enjoyed) ~ “In Him was life, and the
life was the light of men” (John 1:4). Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and
that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:1b).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
