~ Are You Fully Persuaded of the 4 “S”
Phrases? ~
Son of God
~ “Nathanael answered and said to
Him, ‘Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!’” (John 1:49). “And truly Jesus did many
other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this
book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may
have life in His name” (John 20:30-31).
Son of Man
~ “And
He [Jesus] strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying,
‘The Son of Man must suffer many
things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be
killed, and be raised the third day’” (Luke
9:21-22). “And Jesus said to him,
‘Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;
for the Son of Man has come to seek
and to save that which was lost’” (Luke 19:9-10).
Sacrifice for Sin
~ “And
according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without
shedding of blood there is no remission” (Hebrews
9:22). “But this Man [Jesus], after
He had offered one sacrifice for sins
forever, sat down at the right hand of God” (Hebrews 10:12).
Savior of Sinners
~ “This
is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I [the
Apostle Paul] am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15).
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by
His blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through Him. For if when we were
enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more,
having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation”
(Romans 5:8-11).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
