~ Jesus Christ Is To Be Worshipped ~
Passages
~ “Now after Jesus was born in
Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the
East came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born King of the
Jews? For we have seen His star in the
East and have come to worship Him.” … And
when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His
mother, and fell down and worshiped Him.
And when they had opened their
treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh” (Matthew
2:1-2, 11).
“And
immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, ‘O
you of little faith, why did you doubt?’
And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘Truly You are the
Son of God’” (Matthew 14:31-33).
“Jesus heard
that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, ‘Do you
believe in the Son of God?’ He answered
and said, ‘Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?’ And Jesus said to him, ‘You have both seen
Him and it is He who is talking with you.’
Then he said, ‘Lord, I believe!’ And he worshiped Him” (John 9:35-38).
Comment ~ Man is not the only beings which are to worship the Son of God. “But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship Him’” (Hebrews 1:6).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?”
(Matthew 16:15). This is the most
important question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
