“Yahweh” and 8 More ~
In this series we look at God’s names (formal and informal
from Biblical and English languages) as well as clear descriptors of God from
Scripture. In 26 posts we look at names
which start with a successive letter of the English alphabet. (Only a sample of many references are
provided.) Each of these names /
descriptors apply to one or more members of the Triune Godhead.
YAH (self-existence) ~ Exodus 15:2
YAHWEH ~ Note: Yahweh is a name which is found more than 6,800
times in the Old Testament and is translated into English as either “Lord” or “Jehovah.”
