~ Quiet Conscience ~
Series Note ~ The conscience plays a crucial role in human behavior. The Scripture has much to say about our conscience. In these early posts of this series, we are looking at various Biblical Descriptions of our conscience.
Scripture ~ While there are no direct passages in Scripture (that I am aware of) which use the phrase “quiet conscience” the concept is clear from Scripture. When our conscience does not condemn us we have peace with God.
Related Scripture ~ “Let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6b-7).
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).
Quote ~ “We have a quiet conscience through the precious blood of Jesus. We have the love of God set upon us beyond all change. We have power with God in prayer in all time of need.” –Charles Haddon Spurgeon, The Prince of Preachers
