~ God Is The Source Of Life ~
This
Series ~ This
series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God. Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Introduction ~ “When
Peter saw this, he said to them: ‘Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power
or godliness we had made this man walk? The
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his
servant Jesus. You handed him over to be
killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him
go. You disowned the Holy and Righteous
One and asked that a murderer be released to you. You killed the author of life, but God
raised him from the dead” (Acts 3:12-15 niv).
Scripture ~ Jesus
said, “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35b, 48).
“I
[Jesus Christ] will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to
him who thirsts” (Revelation 21:6b).
“‘Come!’
And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of
life freely” (Revelation 22:17b).
Comment ~ “He [Jesus
Christ] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are
in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for
Him. And He is before all things, and in
Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:15-18).
