important reality:  “Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him.  And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.  And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:15-18).

100% Guarantee

~ Do You Have Full Assurance? ~

Full Assurance of Faith  ~  Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.  And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:19-25).  We can have full assurance because faith rests in Christ’s finished work in the past.

Full Assurance of Understanding  ~  “For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:1-3).  We can have full assurance through learning and understanding Christ’s place in the present.

Full Assurance of Hope  ~ “But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.  For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:9-12).  We can have full assurance because our hope [“certainty” is a more accurate modern word] looks onward to Christ’s glory in the future.

Christ’s work for His children was in the past, is in the present, and will continue in the future!

In My Name

~ 7 Things The Christian Does For Christ ~

Surrendering (for My name’s sake)  ~  Jesus said, “Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life” (Matthew 19:29).

Separating (gathered in My name)  ~  Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Mathew 18:20).

Suffering (hated for My name’s sake)  ~  Jesus said, “You will be hated by all for My name’s sake” (Matthew 10:22a).

Serving (working in My name)  ~  Jesus said, “Whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward” (Mark 9:41).

Supplicating (praying in My name)  ~  Jesus said, “Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

Sincerity (laboring for My name’s sake)  ~  To the early church in Ephesus Jesus had this commendation, “You have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary” (Revelation 2:3).

Strength (holding fast in My name)  ~  To the early church in Pergamos Jesus had this commendation, “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.  And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells” (Revelation 2:13).

additional comment:  There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
