~ 4 Possessions of Christ ~
The Gospel Of Christ (our
theme) ~ “Only let your
conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ,
so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs,
that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the
faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is
to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God” (Philippians 1:27-28).
The Work Of Christ (our
employment) ~ “Receive him
[Epaphroditus] therefore in the Lord
with all gladness, and hold such men in esteem; because for the work of Christ he came close to death, not regarding his
life, to supply what was lacking in your service toward me” (Philippians
2:29-30).
The Knowledge Of Christ (our
study) ~ “But what things
were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ
Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count
them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own
righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in
Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the
fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death” (Philippians
3:7-10).
The Power Of Christ (our
strength) ~ “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
