 ~ I Can Consider Eternity Later ~

Myth  ~  One of Satan’s biggest lies is that we can put off a decision regarding salvation through Jesus Christ to a later date. 

Reality  ~  The day you were born you were terminal.  The big question is how many years, months, weeks, days will you spend on earth.  Only God knows! Your life could easily end before the end of today. 

Scripture  ~  “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit’; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (James 4:13-14). “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Invisible God, 4of11

 ~ No Man Has Ever Seen God ~

Introductory Quote  ~  “In the early days of space exploration one of the Russian cosmonauts returned from space and matter-of-factly stated that he hadn’t seen God! The essence of his comment was, ‘I’ve been there, done that, I didn’t see God — therefore there is no God.’

“Because God was not seen by Russian cosmonauts or our own astronauts, does that mean that God does not exist?  Does it mean that He is absent from outer space?  Or, is He present but invisible?

“We know that it is dark, very dark, in outer space.  We also are aware that outer space is full of light traveling from stars in all directions.  Only a tiny fraction of this light travels in a direction that causes it to reach our planet earth.  Space travelers do not see the light that is so abundant in space.

On Tables Of Stone (Law)  ~  “And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.  So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain’” (Exodus 34:1-2).

the basics:  Sinners are lacking in God’s eyes.

On The Plaster Of The Wall (judgment)  ~  “In the same hour the fingers of a man's hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote” (Daniel 5:5).

the basics:  Sinners will be judged by God using His standards.

On The Cross (atonement)  ~  “And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: ‘THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS’” (Matthew 27:37).

the basics:  The Messiah—the Savior—is making provision for the forgiveness of sin.

On The Heart (grace)  ~  (1) “You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).  

the basics:  Gentiles from all nations are being restored to God—a result of the Cross.

(2) “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (Hebrews 8:10).
