~ 7 Abundant Blessings ~
It seems
appropriate for the Abundant Life Blog to list some of the abundant blessings
which Christians enjoy.
We Are Saved By Abundant Grace
~ “The
law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through
righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:20-21).
We Are Blessed By Abundant Mercy
~ “Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant
mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of
Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and
that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power
of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:3-5).
We Are Energized By Abundant Life
~ “Then
Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the
sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep
did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and
will go in and out and find pasture. The
thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have
come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly’” (John 10:7-10).
We Are Calmed By Abundant Peace
~ “In
His days the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more” (Psalm 72:7).
We Have Access To Abundant Joy
~ “Being
confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for
your progress and joy of faith, that your
rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you
again” (Philippians 1:25-26).
We Are Satisfied By Abundance Of His
Goodness ~ “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust
under the shadow of Your wings. They are
abundantly satisfied with the fullness of
Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your
light we see light” (Psalm 36:7-9).
Our Prayers Are Answered In
Abundance ~ “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the
church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians
3:20-21).
the key question: Are you personally living
in, and daily experiencing, the abundance that comes with spiritual life? If not, why not?
