~ 7 Reasons To Be At Jesus’ Feet ~
For Forgiveness
~ “Then
one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat
down to eat. And behold, a woman in the
city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the
Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His
feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and
wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them
with the fragrant oil” (Luke 7:36-38).
For Healing
~ “And
Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of
disease among the people” (Matthew 4:23). “And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years
came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, ‘If only I may touch
His garment, I shall be made well.’ But
Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter;
your faith has made you well.’ And the
woman was made well from that hour” (Matthew 9:20-22). “But when the multitudes knew it, they
followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God,
and healed those who had need of healing” (Luke 9:11).
For Instruction
~ “She
had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word” (Luke 10:39).
In Distress
~ “Then,
when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying
to Him, ‘Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died’” (John
11:32).
In Prayer
~ “And
behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged
Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of
age, and she was dying” (Luke 8:41-42).
In Fear
~ “And
when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to
me, ‘Do not be afraid; I am the First
and the Last. I am He who lives, and was
dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And
I have the keys of Hades and of Death’” (Revelation
1:17-19).
In Worship
~ “And
one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice
glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks” (Luke
17:15-16a).
