~ The Incredible Power of His Words! ~
Passage
~
“No man ever spoke like this
man!” (John 7:46).
His Words Offer Peace and Comfort
~ Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the
world gives do I give to you. Let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John
14:27). “May the God of
patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according
to Christ Jesus” (Romans 15:5).
His Words Heal Physical Infirmities
~ “Then
Jesus came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to
touch him. So He took the blind man by
the hand and led him out of the town.
And when He had spit on his eyes and put H’s hands on him, He asked him
if he saw anything. And he looked up and said, "I see men like trees,
walking.’ Then He put His hands on his
eyes again and made him look up. And he
was restored and saw everyone clearly’ (Mark 8:22-25). “Suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for
twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she
said to herself, ‘If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.’ But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He
said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour” (Matthew
9:20-22).
His Words Have Power Over Life and
Death ~ “Now when Jesus had said these things, He cried with a loud
voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’ And he who
had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was
wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, ‘Loose him, and let him go’ (John
11:43-44).
His Words Have Power Over the Forces
of Evil ~ “You believe that there is one God. You do well.
Even the demons believe — and tremble!” (James
2:19).
His Words Have Power Over Material
Objects ~ “Jesus said to them, ‘Fill the water pots with water.’ And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, ‘Draw some out now, and
take it to the master of the feast.’ And
they took it. When the master of the
feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came
from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast
called the bridegroom” (John 2:7-9).
His Words Have Power Over Creation
~ “Jesus
said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?’ Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the
sea, and there was a great calm. So the
men marveled, saying, ‘Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey
Him?’” (Matthew 8:26-27).
Conclusion
~ His words have the same power
right now. “Jesus
Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews
13:8).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
