~ If It Feels Good, Do It! ~
People Say
~ Go through life with all the
gusto you can muster. Eat, drink, and be
merry, because tomorrow we die.

Answers ~ Jesus
said, “These things I have spoken to you, that
in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but
be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John
16:33).
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his
own way” (Isaiah
53:6).
“As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one;
there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable;
there is none who does good, no, not one’”
(Romans
3:10-12).
“For from within, out of
the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy,
pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man” (Mark 7:21-23).
The
Significance ~ “All the ways of a
man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits” (Proverbs 16:2).
“But it shall come to
pass, if you do not obey the voice of the
Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes
which I command you today, that all these curses
will come upon you and overtake you” (Deuteronomy 28:15).
Jesus said, “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in
this world will keep it for eternal life.
If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant
will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor” (John
12:25-26).
“When Jesus had called the people to Himself, with His disciples
also, He said to them, ‘Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and
follow Me. For whoever desires to save
his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s
will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his
own soul? Or what will a man give in
exchange for his soul? For whoever is
ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the
Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with
the holy angels’” (Mark 8:34-38).
