Remember Who You
Once Were and Who You Now Are ~
Scripture ~ “Remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are
called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by
hands—that at that time you were without
Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel and strangers
from the covenants of promise, having no
hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:11-13).
Additional
Scripture ~ “You
are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special
people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness
into His marvelous light; who once were
not a people but are now the people
of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy” (1 Peter
2:9-10).
Quote ~ “I
am not what I ought to be, I am not what I want to be, I am not what I hope to
be in another world; but still I am not what I once used to be, and by the
grace of God I am what I am.” – John Newton
“But by the grace of
God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored
more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10).
