Did You Get It Right? ~

question: How many times is soap mentioned in the
Bible?
answer: Twice – Jeremiah 2:22; Malachi 3:2
“For of old I have broken your yoke and burst your bonds; and
you said, ‘I will not transgress,’ when on every high hill and under every
green tree you lay down, playing the harlot. Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of
highest quality. How then have you
turned before Me into the degenerate plant of an alien vine? For though you wash yourself with lye, and
use much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before Me," says the Lord
God” (Jeremiah 2:20-22).
“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like
launderers’ soap. He will sit as a
refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge
them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in
righteousness” (Malachi 3:2-3).
