119:49
Remember the word to Your servant,
Upon which You have caused me to hope.
Comment ~ The
Christian can tolerate whatever comes his or her way because of the “blessed
hope” of the Second Coming of Christ for His people. In reality blessed hope is a misleading term since its Biblical meaning is
that it is an absolute certainty. God is sovereign, good, and faithful—there is
a certain future.
“If any of
you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without
reproach, and it will be given to him. But
let him ask in faith, with no doubting” (James 1:5-6a).
