Celebrate The Harvest

 ~ Turn Halloween To Praise ~

 

Avoid  ~  Practices which the Scriptures clearly warns against.  Do not glorify that which God has told His people to have nothing to do with.

 

Ghosts  ~  “Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary.  I am the Lord.  Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.  I am the Lord your God” (Leviticus 19:30-31).  

 

Wizards  ~  “When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.  There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.  For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.  You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.  For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you” (Deuteronomy 18:9-14). 

 

Witches  ~  Consider God’s statement to His chosen people Israel: “You shall not permit a sorceress to live” (Exodus 22:18). 

 

Vampires  ~  “Moreover you shall not eat any blood in any of your dwellings, whether of bird or beast.  Whoever eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people” (Leviticus 7:26-27).

Do Celebrate  ~  The blessings of God to you, your family, your local church, your community, and your nation. 

 

“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.  Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures” (James 1:16-18).

Fall is a good time to reflect on the cornucopia of blessings which we have received throughout the year!
