~ Faithful ~
This Series ~ This series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God. Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Scripture ~ “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:21-23).
“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations” (Psalm 89:1).
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).
“The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does” (Psalm 145:13).
“The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
Comment ~ It is important to realize that His faithfulness is constant regardless of our actions. “If we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny Himself” (2 Timothy 2:13).
Jesus Christ, right now, is sitting on the right hand of God the Father, representing you. “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted” (Hebrews 2:17-18).
