~ Child of Transgression or Child of Light ~
Series Comment ~ A person can be a child of their
mother, but also a child of their father.
They may also have adopted parents.
They may also be a child of incest or a child of other “parents” – in
this series we look at Biblical descriptions of various “parents.”
Scripture
1 ~ “Whom
do you ridicule? Against whom do you
make a wide mouth and stick out the tongue?
Are you not children of transgression, offspring of falsehood”
(Isaiah 57:4).
Scripture
2 ~ “Then
Jesus said to them, ‘A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness
overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the
light, that you may become sons of light.’ These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and
was hidden from them” (John 12:35-36).
Note Also ~ “But you, brethren, are not in
darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of
the day. We are not of the night nor of
darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as
others do, but let us watch and be sober” (1 Thessalonians 5:4-6).
