~ God Honors Those Who Trust Him ~
Introduction
~ “Abundant Life Now” previously provided
a list of Biblical of examples of fearing / reverencing God (217 posts). In this current series we look at Biblical
accounts that demonstrate that we can fully trust God. Initially we posted seven general reasons for
trusting God. We are currently looking
at passages from all 66 books of Scripture which demonstrate a reason for
trusting our Creator.
Scripture
~ “Trust in the Lord, and do
good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He
shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it
to pass. He shall bring forth your
righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who
brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease
from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret — it only causes harm” (Psalm
37:3-8).
Comment ~ This
passage has been misunderstood by many. It is not saying that whatever you
desire God will give you. It is saying if you trust God and are obedient to
God, He will put the right desires in your heart.
