~ Walk Toward Your Rewards ~
Series
Introduction ~ The New Testament has much to say about how a
believer should live their life.
Christians should never have to guess about the life that pleases
God. In this series we look at a variety
of passages that speak about the Christian walk on earth.
Scripture ~ To the faithful
members of the Church of Sardis Jesus said: “You have a few names even in
Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in
white, for they are worthy” (Revelation 3:4).
Speaking of our days in heaven we read: “But I saw no temple in
it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the
moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved
shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and
honor into it. Its gates shall not be
shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). And they shall bring the glory and the honor
of the nations into it. But there shall
by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie,
but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life” (Revelation
21:22-27).
Additional Scripture ~ “Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great
is your reward in heaven” (Matthew 5:12a).
Comment ~ Will
you enter heaven when you die? Are you
sure? Will you hear your Savior say:
“Well done, good and faithful servant!”
It is not too late to finish strong!
Quote ~ “To walk with someone means you are aware of their
presence. And this is true with
God. If you’re to walk with Him, you
must be continually aware of His presence.” —Kay Smith {Pleasing God)
