~ God Smiles ~

 

This Series ~ This series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God.  Generally, we move in alphabetical order.

 

Introduction ~ Some years ago I realized that I needed to change from worrying about disappointing God to focusing on how I could please God. It has made a significant difference in my life. How can I delight God?

 

Scripture ~ “His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor His pleasure in the legs of a man, but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His steadfast love” (Psalm 147:10-11 ESV).

 

“Then he said to them, ‘Go your way. Eat the fat and drink the sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength’” (Nehemiah 8:10 ESV).

 

“Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more” (1 Thessalonians 4:1 ESV).

 

Comment ~ “The joy of the Lord is our strength.” Make Him smile, and feel your strength renewed, a His Word works in you, today.
