~ Commands for Anxious Times ~

Fear Not  ~  For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you. Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you,’ says the Lord and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 41:13-14).  ~  FEAR NOT is a word of pardon!

Fret Not  ~  Fret not because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb” (Psalm 37:1-2).  ~  FRET NOT is a word of peace!

Faint Not  ~  Therefore we faint not. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).  ~  FAINT NOT is a word of power!

~ The Look which Leads to the Learning which Promises Abundant Life ~

Look To Me  ~  Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22).

Jesus said, “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever looks to Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:14-15).

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:6).

Look to Jesus for salvation!

Learn Of Me  ~  Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

“Let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful” (Titus 3:14).

Learn about Jesus for discipleship!

Live By Me  ~  “And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day’” (John 6:35-40).

“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life’” (John 4:13-14).

“And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst’ (John 6:35).

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. ‘I am the Good Shepherd’” (John 10:10-11).

Live by Jesus in a life of faith to truly live!

~ Have You Lost Your First Love?  Here’s The Path Back!  ~

Introduction  ~  The words recorded in Revelation 2 are those of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and were directed at a church lacking true love for God.

Remember (your failings)  ~  “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil.  And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.  Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.  Remember therefore from where you have fallen” (Revelation 2:1-5a). …

Repent (your sins)  ~  … “Repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place — unless you repent.  But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate” (Revelation 2:5b-6).

Restore / Resume (your love and good works)  ~  “Repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place — unless you repent.  But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God” (Revelation 5b-7).
