~ Commands
for Anxious Times ~
Fear Not
~ “For
I, the Lord your God, will hold
your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you. Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will
help you,’ says the Lord and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah
41:13-14). ~ FEAR
NOT is a word of pardon!
Fret Not
~ “Fret not
because of evildoers, nor be envious of the
workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb” (Psalm
37:1-2). ~ FRET
NOT is a word of peace!
Faint Not
~ “Therefore
we faint not. Even though our outward
man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light
affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding
and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are
temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2
Corinthians 4:16-18). ~ FAINT
NOT is a word of power!
summary: Can you trust the details of your everyday
life to the Creator who knows the number of hairs on your head? If you worry
too much could it be a theological problem?
What do you think? Comments please!
