Do You Want To Please God?

☆☆☆☆☆ “Comprehensive guide to God’s will for us…  I wish I this book 20 years ago…  This is a book I will be referring back to often.  In fact, this is one of those books you should reread again every couple of years.  I recommend this book to fellow Christians whether new believers or believers who have walked with the Lord for 30+ years like myself…  I have never read a better guide to the Christian life.”   ~ D. Methods of Praise, 7

~ Praise God With Song ~

Introduction ~ The Bible provides a number of examples of how God’s people are able to show praise to Him.

Scripture ~ “Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.  Praise the Lord with the harp; make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy” (Psalm 33:1-3).

“God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.  Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!  For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding” (Psalm 47:5-7).

“I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your Word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul” (Psalm 138:1-3).

“One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works.

Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.

They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness” (Psalm 145:4-7).
